Episode 043 – Epic Film Guys: Resurgence

RESURGENCE! That’s the word of the day as we review not one, but two trailers with that subtitle in tonight’s Epic Previews segment. We look at the only-being-released-in-Japan Toho reboot of Godzilla with Godzilla: Resurgence, and the twenty-years-in-the-making sequel to Independence Day, Independence Day: Resurgence. We’ll also take a look at The Magnificent Seven teaser as well as the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse

More and more tragedy seems to strike the world of entertainment these days, and none so big as the loss of music legend Prince. In this episode we’ll feature three pieces from his illustrious career, two of them from the Batman 1989 soundtrack – “Trust” and “Partyman,” while the third will close out the show in the form of “When Doves Cry.” Justin also has a few words to say about this iconic star as we bid him a fond farewell.

Also this week, we look back at my bachelor party from last weekend and talk about the fun shenangians that ensued throughout the weekend, from the head of Patrick Swayze to watching half of Roadhouse. All in all a great weekend, but my voice certainly paid the price.
