A pall of sadness has settled over the Epic Film Guys podcast, as today on recording day (08/29) we learned of the passing of comedic legend Gene Wilder, star of such classic films as The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, among others. Tonight we’ll talk about our five favorite Gene Wilder films, and we’re also going to be including your thoughts on the late actor in our Fanviews segment.

Also this week, something you probably never thought you’d hear from the Epic Film Guys… praise for something Marvel did! We’ll check out the hilarious video from the Civil War Blu-Ray that features Thor wishing he was included on the action in Captain America: Civil War, but instead has moved into an apartment in Australia. The short was directed by Taika Waititi, the director of the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, and someone whose praises have already been sung over on our brother podcast, The Countdown Movie and TV reviews.

We had a lot more content recorded for this week, but due to some circumstances we’ll discuss next week and my need for sleep, I decided to cut our discussion of Ben Affleck’s Deathstroke reveal and the casting of Zendaya in Spider-Man: Homecoming and leave them for next week’s show or possibly a mid-week mini-sode. In the meantime, please enjoy the episode, and we’ll see you at the movies!
